About Me​

Hello I’m Colin, a  registered Civil Celebrant located in Bracknell Berkshire. My location is very helpful as I'm right on the borders of Surrey and Hampshire.

How did I become a Celebrant? Well I began by photographing Funerals for Families who were unable to attend the service. In today's world our families tend to live further away from each other than in days gone by and I found that seeing photographs of the day helped families find closure helping them to move forward.

Whilst photographing funerals I found myself watching the person leading the service. I became interested in how they spoke and what they said. I have always found that I am able to speak in public, probably due to my 22 years teaching in Secondary Schools, and thought that this was something that maybe I could do.

Sadly, within the space of a couple of years, I suffered the loss of two close friends and several losses within my family. I was asked to read the Eulogies at their services. I was deeply honoured to do so and found something which touched me enough to want to do more.

 

I’m passionate about what I do and want you to have the best ceremony possible, one that's filled with love and laughter, invoking those special memories that we all want to both leave with and live with.
